PALM SPRINGS, Max’s narrative feature debut, premiered at Sundance and received two Golden Globe Nominations, a WGA Award Nomination for Original Screenplay, and the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy.
He followed that with BROTHERS, starring Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage, Brendan Fraser, Marisa Tomei, Glenn Close, &, in his narrative feature debut, Samuel, an orangutan from Borneo.
Max also wrote and directed MOMMY, I'M A BASTARD!, a documentary about his adoption.
Max earned his MFA in Directing from the AFI Conservatory, trained with Werner Herzog in Cuba, and is a graduate of Yale University.
Up next is EPIPHANY, starring Kristen Wiig & Bill Murray, and an untitled body-swap comedy with Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, and LuckyChap Entertainment at Amazon MGM Studios.
